One of the most active and innovative artists from Russia, now based in Moscow. Was born in 1986 in Siberia, Russia. In 1999, he went into street art inspired by hip-hop culture in Russia of the 90s. In 2002 Andrey entered a university majoring Architectural Environment Design. At the same time Aber worked much as a street-artist in urban surroundings, took part in numerous regional and all-Russia street-art exhibitions and festivals. In 2009 he organised and appeared to be a curator and artist of the conceptual project „Idiot Proof”, that included elements of sculpture, installations, photographs and videos, urban surroundings activity (Barnaul). In 2009 and 2010 was involved into post-graffiti performances and installations under the general title Light Lines (Siberia Region). From 2007 till 2009 Andrey was an active participant and organizer of a widely known graffiti festival Paint Methods, that took place all over Siberia.
Andrey Berger explores his ideas through a multitude of media: from performance, sculpture, mural painting, graffiti and installation to painting and graphic. Artist works toward researching of form, materials, spaces and its transformations.
