Maiana Nasybullova was born in 1989 in Serov, graduated from the Novosibirsk State Academy of Architecture and Art. She is engaging in the creation of sculptural objects, installations. With the help of gypsum, silicone, resin, she snapshots the modern trends and explores the mechanisms of personal and collective memory and its connection with cultural artifacts. Mayana creates an archive of everyday things enclosed in resin. Choosing the iconinc symbols of the Soviet past and modern Russia and transforming them. She explores the phenomenon of totemism — how the set of symbolic objects that exists in every home is selected by choosing the iconic symbols of the Soviet past and modern Russia and transforming them. Mayana creates fragmentary sculptures and actualizes monuments of art, placing them in a modern context. Participant in the Triennale of Russian Contemporary Art (2017).
